It has become visible to me through friends and acquaintances that some of our college mates (mainly girls) are trying to hard to match everything they put on. Ok whoever said everything had to match was seriously living in a matches box. Don’t get me wrong matching is nice because some things just don’t go with others because of a number of reasons but some ppl carry matching too far that it becomes frightening. What possesses a person to think that everything they wear has to match? Pink eye shadow has to match bag and belt and nails and shoes and pink panty.
NEWSFLASH! Your bag and your shoes don’t have to match for you to look hot. In fact we should change the word match to coordinate and hopefully we would change the way we think of dressing on a whole. If there is proper coordination then you automatically become your own superstar since you’ll look so amazing and feel like YOURSELF, which is what we want for you. If you don’t think its such a good idea to do look at the people that we normally idolize for their fashion sense. Celebrities, stylist, music stars and the rest of them don’t always match yet they look outstanding. Guess why? Cause they are conscious of the coordination of the clothes with everything else and not just matching them together.
Big up to their stylist. So instead of trying to waste your fashion life away with boring matchy matchy ensembles, try bringing your own thing to the plate. Add a splash of your favourite colour and a dash of confidence and your set – maybe not for life but for the time being. Lol Did anyone look at Face of Shabeau on tv last Saturday? Yeh jeds, SVG tv try a thing. If you did, tell me what you think even if you went to the show. Tip of the day: take the risk when you feel the urge to look different and not match everything, instead make a sweet coordination of accessories. GO BRAVE!!!

Fashion and Style
The best place to be when you need to examine Caribbean fashion and style is a bashment that features a famous Jamaican reggae artiste. The reflections show featuring Caribbean superstar Jah cure was the most conscious show of the year and everyone was conscious of the dress code.Women flaunted stilettos and pumps with shorts and skinny high-waisted jeans and sexy but not too revealing tops. The guys still rocking their Vans and shorts but they definitely made statements with their choice of t-shirts and dress shirts that had more prints than a Dell printer.
Jewelry was everywhere and kept at a maximum. And of course everyone had their colours coordinating with the event (heights gold and green). I must say that every college student I saw was looking quite proper. Easter weekend is almost here and I can only wonder what they are going to look like then. Cause u know some ppl only dress up to go clubbin or to a show but to the ‘library’ or to the supermarket you can hardly recognize them. But I rate them after careful analysis; the best thing to do is to keep a low profile on your fashion sense when going to simple casual outings like going to the store. So that whenever there’s a big show that requires you to look your best it would be easy and amazingly shocking to your viewers to see you looking ‘better’ than you usually do. Trick? I think not since ppl have been doing it subconsciously for years but it doesn’t kill to know how your fashion works.
Tip of the day: its kool if you rebel and go against the rules of fashion when you’re going to a show but its not so bad to follow a little of what’s in style right now. Remember we set the trends. Rock it. reminder.......Americas next top model rerun is on tonite channel 6 @ 6.

Back on the scene checking out your latest fashion upgrades and mistakes. So it was a trend, wearing your pants in your shoes so that they look skinny at the ankle. Now they putting them in socks and all, in fact they just sewing them smaller.
Focusing minds would wonder who it is really sewing these trousers cause I think we could have a lot of new seamstresses and tailors on the college grounds. Surprisingly this trend started with women, yes the skinny jeans but the guys of SVCC have perfected it by spicing the look up with their own spin. So wear your skinny khakis (as named by a close friend) with your timbaland boots, construction shoes, high tops or your simply low black Air brands. If you don’t have a pair you are quickly loosing touch with us. So hurry and head into any of Kingstown’s Cheap Cerian Stores and pick them up for as low as $60.00 And while you are there doing your shopping pick up the biggest belt buckle you can find with incrusted gems and stones. (check out Isles boutique). -Spice in your life Look for the college Friday: Shirt out of pants (no wrinkles plz) White socks Big Belt Buckle Skinny khakis Tip of the day: change the style if you want, is yours. Welcome to College Rocks Fashion
Welcome to college rocks fashion. Where all the trend setters and the not so fashionable run tings, cause every spoil is a style and cheap ting cost plenty money once dem look good.
Today was a very interesting day in the college village and like always there is something to talk about. My cousin man about college always has the serious issues at hand but what he forgot to mention was the crimes against style and fashion being portrayed by our young bodies.
Hair was here and it made drastic statements today. All the natural chicks went straightena crazy but I must admit they look good. Scratch that, some of them look good. Madame upper 6 did hers and all in focus wondering why she did it. Rumors are that it was to please a certain skin infected homey on the other end of the runway/corridor. (U make sense out of nonsense u smart enough). Red heads are making some movements even though they are of African descent. Big up ladies!
It was very good to see some people taking the leap into the other world by changing their hairstyles. A certain young dude has been changing his for a couple weeks now and today he rocked a mini-Mohawk. He doesn’t look that bad at all.
Just to show u how confidence and still mix. Once you got it flaunt it. Props to everyone who keeping up with appearances
Fashion trends on the move: bra scraps and elastic bands aren’t the only hair accessories making it @ college. Anything from shoe lacings to colourful yarn strings can do the trick. And yes aviator sunglasses are still around like Ralph on rape charges.
Oh and everybody should be gearing up for America’s Next Top Model
8pm y’all cause time change, channel 6 (CW). Don’t miss it.
(but if u do….reruns are on every Sunday at 6pm)
Tip of the Day: anything can be hott when u pair it with confidence, and I don’t mean the deodorant brand.
